Samšín

Samšín ( German Samschin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast of Pacov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Samšín is located in the southern part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands on a ridge overlooking the valleys of Trnava and its tributary creek Kejtovský. To the northwest rises the Chyska ( Chischka, 556 m).

Neighboring towns are Lesná, Kyjov and Horni Dvůr in the north, Dolni Mlýn, Brezina and Bořetice in the northeast, Přáslavice and Útěchovice in the east, Becan and Útěchovičky the southeast, Houskův Mlýn, Zahrádka and Pošná in the south, Nová Ves, Kuňovka and Roučkovice in the southwest, Peřinkův Mlýn and Hradek in the west and Velka Chyska in the northwest.

History

The first mention of the 16- Huben village Sampschin was made in 1373 in the land register Ulrich I. von Rosenberg. However, the village was not among the possessions of the lords of Rosenberg, but the collegiate All Saints' Day at the Prague Castle and was administered by Ulrich I for his brother, Provost Peter II. 1437 Sampschin was overwritten Prague collegiate chapters. In 1530, Ferdinand I sold it to Wenzel Ritter robes main Sucha ( Robmhap ze Suché ) on Pacov. Gepfarrt was Sampschin after Pacov. In Patzauer church tithe register of 1636 are listed for eleven Sampschin estate. The Berni rula 1654 has for the village to ten peasant farms, one of which was ruined. In addition, a further four properties were desolate. Later Samšín belonged to the Carmelite Order and fell in the wake of the Josephine reforms the religious foundation to.

After the abolition of patrimonial Samšín formed in 1850 a part of the community Roučkovice in the District Commission Pelhřimov. 1862 lived in 34 houses in the village 287 consistently Czech inhabitants. In 1887 the church was Samšín. 1910 246 people lived in the village had grown to 38 houses. Between 1948 and 1960 the village belonged to Okres Pacov and came to the resolution back to Okres Pelhřimov. In 1976 Přáslavice was incorporated.

Samšín is built around a large round the village square, on which the chapel and the village pond located.
