Schoenberg Lachtal is a municipality with 442 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) in the judicial district or district Murau in Styria. From 1 January 2015 it is the context of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Oberwölz environment Oberwölz city and Winklern together with Oberwölz, the new community will be called " Oberwölz ".

Geography

Geographical Location

Schönberg is located about 16 km northeast of Murau in the Wölzer Tauern. The place Schönberg is located on 1038 m, the highest point of the municipality is the High tines ( 2222 m), on the border of the municipality Pusterwald. The lowest point of the municipality is located at about 780 m in the valley Wölzer. In the north of the municipal territory lies the high valley of the Laughing Valley, a well-known winter sports area. The south-western part of the municipality ( from Gellsee westward ) is drained by the beautiful mountain stream on the Wölzerbach in the Mur, the northeastern part of the community drained of Laughs Albach, which also opens via Gföllbach, Blahbach and Pölsbach in the Mur.

History

The town of Schönberg was created in 1927 as a separation from the community Oberwölz environment.

Economy and infrastructure

According to Census of 2001, there are 22 workplaces with 53 employees in the community as well as 137 commuters and 18 commuters. There are 61 agricultural and forestry enterprises ( of which 43 are in the main acquisition ), which together manage 3,091 ha (as of 1999).

The council consists of nine members and is since the municipal elections in 2010 together entirely of mandatary of the ÖVP.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 August 1983. Coat Description: In blue growing a silver column with Blattkapitell and lateral sheet approaches, above the fighters assigned three radiate diverging blue spearheads.
