Seeth-Ekholt

Seeth- Ekholt is a municipality in the district of Pinneberg, in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Seeth- Ekholt located directly east of Elmshorn to the Federal Highway 23 from Hamburg to Elmshorn.

History

Seeth- Ekholt is first mentioned in 1351 as Sethe records in Kiel Rent book. The name evolved to " Zeethe " 1388, " Szete " 1564, " Seth " 1700 " Seeth " in 1915 and the name has evolved over Ekholt " Eekholt " and " Eckholt " to present notation " Seeth- Ekholt ". The Low German word Ekholt means to transmit high German oak. The territory once belonged to the Official Barmstede, from which in 1650 the Duchy of Rantzau was.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council have the CDU and the voter community WGSE since the local elections in 2013, four seats and the three SPD.
