Geography

Thannhausen is located in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.

History

The Thannhausen castle was built in the 16th century by the Teuffenbachern and Conrad of Thannhausen.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 August 1984. Coat Description: Five times split of red and gold, topped with a damascened golden bars.
