Ukrainka, Kiev Oblast

Ukrainka (Ukrainian Українка; Russian Украинка / Ukrainka ) is located in central Ukraine in the Kiev Oblast, Rajon Obukhiv right side on the Dnieper River. Today's Ukrajinka is located near the former villages Ukrajinka and Trypillja, some 40 kilometers south of the provincial capital, Kiev, and 15 kilometers from the Rajonhauptstadt Obukhiv. In the immediate vicinity of Ukrainka and Tripolje in 1966 started the construction of the power station Tripolskaja TES. A year later, the first houses were built for the workers. At the city council and the village community Pljuty heard ( Плюти ).

Industry

In 1969, the first block of the coal power plant Tripolskaja TES was put into operation. The power plant is the largest employer to the residents of Ukrainka. In Soviet times up to 4000 engineers were trained here. The coal needed for the operation of the plant comes from the mines in eastern Ukraine ( Donets Basin ) and the Polish Silesia and is delivered by train and ship. Recreation and Leisure

The charm of this city determine the rivers Dnepr, Stugna and Kosynka, as well as the surrounding forests (mainly pine and birch ).
