Velké Janovice
Velké Janovice ( German United Janowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north-west of Bystřice nad Perštejnem and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.
Geography
Velké Janovice is located in the southeast of the Saarer mountains in the valley of the creek Janovický. To the north rises the Panský Kopec ( 672 m), in the southeast, the Hora ( Spielberg, 636 m ) south of the Krib (704 m ) and southwest of the Pletenice ( Lhottaberg, 734 m). South of the village is the motocross track Písečská zmole.
Neighboring towns are Jimramovské Pavlovice and Strachujov in the north, and Zbytov Unčín in the northeast, Dalečín in the east, in the southeast Vítochov, Písečné and Janovičky in the south, Bohuňov the southwest, Lhota and Lísek in the west and colony Marie and Michov in the northwest.
History
Janovice was first mentioned in 1364 as a manor house with mill and four houses. From 1387 belonged to the court of the Mikes family and the end of the 15th century it acquired the Lords of Pernštejna. 1750 came the Count Mitrowsky on Dolni Rožínka owner of Velké Janovice.
After the abolition of patrimonial Velke Janovice formed with the district Maly Lísek 1850 a municipality in the district Nove Mesto. 1889 sold the counts Mitrowski the farm to Joseph Lidmil from Sádek. 1910 acquired three inhabitants of Velké Janovice the Grange.
In 1949 the congregation to Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. Two years later the spin-off of Maly Lísek which henceforth formed the community Lísek with Lhota. 1961 Velké Janovice was assigned to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. Between 1980 and 1991 Velké Janovice was incorporated to Bystřice nad Pernštejnem.
Every year on August 15, there will be a pilgrimage in Velké Janovice. Since 2005, a hermitage in Velké Janovice. The wooden building was blessed by Bishop Brno Vojtěch Cikrle and is of a sister of the Order of hl. Ivan ( řád Ivanitů ) inhabited. It is the first hermitage, which was rebuilt in Bohemia and Moravia in 200 years.
