Victor Stancescu

Victor Stancescu ( born March 10, 1985 in Bucharest ) is a Swiss- Romanian Hockey player who since 2001 has been at the Kloten Flyers in the National League A under contract.

Career

Victor Stancescu began his career as a hockey player with the EHC Illnau -Effretikon and then came over to EV train and the ZSC Lions in 1999 to the elite juniors the Kloten Flyers. In the 2001 /02 season he made his debut in the first team of the Kloten Flyers in the National League A. In season 2002/ 03 he then also achieved his first goal in the top Swiss league. Stancescu he improved from year to year until finally in the 2007/ 08 season in the second block stormed. In the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2010/11 he was with Kloten each runner. During the 2012/13 season Stancescu collected most penalty minutes of all players in the league.

Internationally

For Switzerland Stancescu took part in the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championships in 2002 and 2003 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005. In the senior level, he stood in the squad for Switzerland at the World Cup 2011.

Private

Stancescu graduated from 2005 to 2010 to study law at the University of Zurich and graduated successfully with the licentiate. He is married to Livia Stancescu ( - Lazzarini ).
