Záblatí (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Záblatí ( German Sablat ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is eleven kilometers southeast of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

The village is situated on the right bank of the Bítýška opposite Osová Bítýška. South leads past the D1 motorway, the next exit is Lhotka.

Neighboring towns are Osová Bítýška the north and east, Bezděkov u Velké Bíteše and Jáchymov in the south, Křeptovský Dvůr and Ruda in the west and Ořechov in the northwest.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1376 in a list of Jan of Meziříčí. At the beginning of the 15th century Záblatí came to power Náměšt where it remained until its replacement of patrimonial regimes in 1850. By 1857 the place for community Osová Bítýška was associated and then gained its independence. Záblatí belonged to the judicial district reform in 1892 for the judicial district of the United Meseritsch and came afterwards to 1949 to the court of Henry County and then to Okres Velka Bites. Since 1960, the village is part of Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. Between 1973 and 1990 Záblatí was incorporated to Osová Bítýška.
