Albero Bajo

Albero Bajo ( Aragonese Albero Baixo ) is a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain. It is located in the northernmost part of the comarca of the Monegros Canal del Flumen and on the road from Huesca to Grañén.

History

The municipal area archaeological remains were found in the metal time.

Like many municipalities in the province of Huesca has a substantial population decline occurred ( 1900, 211 inhabitants).

Attractions

  • From the castle of the 15th century remains of walls and a tower have been preserved.
  • The later modified, single-nave parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Rosa (12th - 13th century) with a pointed barrel vault and polygonal exterior, interior semicircular apse and a portal with three Archivolts.
