Anna Hübler

Anna "Annie" Hubler ( born January 2, 1885 in Munich, † July 5, 1976 ibid ) was a German figure skater, which was launched in pair skating.

It was on 29 October 1908, the first German Olympic champion ever. Shortly before end Elsa Schmidt had already won the first German woman an Olympic medal. Hubler started on the prestigious Munich EV.

Their greatest success as a pair skater Hubler and Heinrich Burger. At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 the couple's first time in the Olympic program located compete in figure skating for pairs won. In the same year, and again in 1910 Burger and Hubler were also the first pair skating world champion in history. European Championships for couples were not introduced until 1930.

After her figure skating career Hubler graduated in 1913 in Munich training as an actress and soprano. She then worked as a soubrette and actress at the city theater in Bremen and at the Munich Chamber games.

In 1918 she married the homeowner Ernst Horn and participated in the management of the department store at routes to with. After the Second World War, she was instrumental in the reconstruction of two department stores.
