The AT & T Stadium is a stadium with schließbarem roof in Arlington, Texas, located between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. It serves as the venue for the NFL games of the Dallas Cowboys.

The stadium has the largest unsupported by columns interior and one of the largest HD screens ( 46.3 mx 21.9 m) in the world. It has 80,000 seats and standing room for up to 30,000 more - depending on the event.

On July 25, 2013 announced Cowboys owner Jerry Jones that the Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with the telecommunications company AT & T to acquire the naming rights to the stadium. The Arena in Arlington now carries the name AT & T Stadium. The company pays about 17 to 19 million U.S. dollars to the Cowboys a year.

Events

The first public concert at Cowboys Stadium held the country singer George Strait from 6 June 2009. However, the first sporting event was not a football game, but a football match between Costa Rica and Guadeloupe. It was the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Immediately following the meeting between Mexico and Haiti took place, which was sold out with 82 252 spectators.

The largest number of spectators at a football game in the stadium came on September 21, 2009. The game against the Dallas Cowboys New York Giants ( 31:33 ) presented with 105 121 visitors on an NFL Regular Season record.

In addition, Game ( East vs. West 141:139 ) before 108,713 spectators and thus the greatest scenery ever for a basketball game was played the NBA All -Star on February 14, 2010.

Here the Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers was held on February 6, 2011. 103 219 spectators, the Packers defeated the Steelers with 31:25 points. Most users ever Super Bowl XIV in 1980 at the Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena, was missed by 766 viewers.
