Aznakayevo

Asnakajewo (Russian Азнакаево; Tatar Азнакай / Aznaqay ) is a city in the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia) with 34,853 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located in the Bugulma - Belebeier heights about 380 km south-east of the Republic capital Kazan on the sterling ( Stjarle ), a left tributary of the opening into the Kama Ik.

Asnakajewo the Republic is under the administrative right and also the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.

Nearest railway station is 34 km away Jutasa at the track Ulyanovsk - Tschischmy ( - Ufa ).

History

Asnakajewo originated as a village 1762nd After the discovery of oil deposits in 1951 a workers' settlement, which was awarded in 1956 the status of an urban-type settlement and 1987, the city was right.

Culture and sights

The main industry is oil and gas production by Tatneft (range Asnakajewneft ). There are also vehicle and machinery ( Neftemasch, suppliers to the oil industry ) and textile and food industry.
