Bandy World Championship 1995

The 19th Bandy World Championships was held from January 29 to February 5, 1995 in the U.S. Roseville, Minnesota. Sweden won the final 6-4 against Russia.

It was the first World Cup, which was not held in Norway, Sweden, Finland or Russia or the Soviet Union.

With Kazakhstan another team gave her World Cup debut. For lacked the national team of the Netherlands.

Game Mode

The eight teams were classified according to their strength in an A and a B group. The first two of the A group qualified automatically for the semi-finals. The Third and Fourth in Group A had a game against the First and deregister the Second of the B group, whose winner would also qualify for the semifinals.

An innovation meant the shootout, which was a winner after a draw game. In the preliminary round, the game was still considered a point for both teams.

Venue

Venue was the Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval in Roseville (Minnesota ), which should be the venue for the 2006 Women's World Cup.
