Bandy World Championship 1979
The 11th Bandy World Championship was held in Sweden from 27 January to 4 February 1979. The Soviet Union succeeded the eleventh consecutive title ahead of Sweden and Finland.
It was played a back and a return round, so each team twice met each other and had to contest a total of six games.
Venues
The World Cup games were played in Vänersborg, Trollhättan, Gothenburg, Kungälv Köpings, Uppsala, Katrine Holm, Stockholm and Eskilstuna.
