Bandy World Championship 1987
The 15th Bandy World Championship was held in Sweden from 31 January to 8 February 1987. Sweden succeeded the third triumph in the World Cup. In the final of the hosts defeated Finland 7-2. Defending the Soviet Union won only bronze, reaching the far worst result at a World Cup.
The five teams played in the main round once each against each other. The main round first and second qualifying for the final. The Third and Fourth met in the third place play each other again.
Venues
It was played in several cities: Vänersborg, Gothenburg, Lidköping, Skövde, Kungälv, Trollhättan, Örebro, Motala, Köpings and Katrine Holm were the venues for the World Cup. In Stockholm, the two placement matches have been played.
