Björn Skifs

Björn Skifs ( born April 20, 1947 in Vansbrosimningen ) is a Swedish singer and actor.

In the 1960s, he became known in Sweden as a singer of his band Beat Slam Creepers '. After their separation, he founded Blue Swede. Their most successful single, Hooked on a Feeling ( originally recorded by BJ Thomas ), was number 1 in the U.S. charts in 1974. Skifs left the band in 1976 to start a solo career. He took twice a Euro Vision Song Contest: the competition in Paris in 1978, he landed with Det blir alltid värre Framåt natten at number 14 in the competition in 1981 he reached with Fångad i en dröm tenth. In 1984, he was heard as The Arbiter on the original album of the musical Chess.

Especially in the 1980 - 90s had Skifs leading roles in Swedish musicals, comedy movies and some TV movies. A hit in Sweden was the comedy film Strul 1988 where he played a gangster.

Skifs sang together with singer Agnes the song When You Tell the World You're Mine at the wedding of Victoria and Daniel of Sweden on 19 June 2010 in Stockholm. This title was shortly after number 1 in the Swedish charts.
