Bruce County
Bruce County is a county in the southwest of the Canadian province of Ontario. The county seat is Walkerton in the municipality of Brockton. Its population is 66 102 (2011), the area of 4087.76 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 16.2 inhabitants per km ². Named the County to James Bruce, 8th Earl of Elgin, the Governor General of Canada from 1847 to 1854. It is partly on the Bruce Peninsula, which projects into Lake Huron. The Bruce Peninsula National Park and on the west side of the Sauble Beach is located on the northern tip of the peninsula
