Christoph Bieler

Christoph Bieler (born 28 October 1977 in Hall in Tyrol ) is an Austrian Nordic combined.

Career

The Tyrolean starts for HSV - Absam Bergisel and is considered one of the best ski jumpers among the nordic combined. After ten years in the World Cup and several podium finishes, he won on 3 December 2006 in Lillehammer his first World Cup race ahead of Finland's Anssi Koivuranta, which on 16 December 2006 with the win in the mass start competition in Ramsau, in turn before Koivuranta, the second triumph followed. So far, holds the Tyrolean in six World Cup victories.

His greatest success so far with the Austrian Christoph Bieler team. He was crowned at the Olympic Games 2006 in Turin together with Michael Gruber, Felix Gottwald and Mario Stecher Olympic champion and already at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 - in a relay with Michael Gruber, Wilhelm Denifl and Felix Gottwald - the world champion. A single victory at major events was the Tyrolean so far not granted.
