Klaus Sulzenbacher

Klaus Sulzenbacher ( born February 3, 1965 in Kitzbühel, Tyrol) is a former Austrian Nordic combined. In his career he won a total of six times medals at Olympics and World Championships. He also secured the overall World Cup twice.

Career

Klaus Sulzenbacher was one of the most successful Nordic Combiner Austria and is considered the " father" of the success of Mario Stecher and Felix Gottwald. He took 14 World Cup victories and triumphant 1987/88 and 1989/90 respectively in the overall World Cup. In addition, he was still three times the overall World Cup runner-up.

At Olympic Winter Games Klaus Sulzenbacher participated three times ( 1984, 1988 and 1992). He won in Calgary in 1988 in the individual and the silver in the relay ( with Hansjörg ash forest and Günter Csar ) the bronze medal. Four years later he secured in Albertville in individual and relay ( with Klaus Ofner and Stefan Kreiner ) bronze medals. He also brought in the Nordic World Ski Championships 1991 in Val di Fiemme Gold team (with Günter and Klaus Ofner Csar ) and silver in singles.
