Uwe Dotzauer

Uwe Dotzauer ( born February 19, 1959 in Klingenthal ) is a former German nordic combined. He belonged to the SC Dynamo Klingenthal.

He was active from 1977 to 1987 for the crew of the GDR. His greatest successes came at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1982 in Oslo when he km team competition was world champion with the team of the GDR in 3x10 and in single race won the bronze medal.

Dotzauer also won the Nordic combined at the 1980 Holmenkollen Ski Games. In his career, he participated in a total of two Olympic Winter Games. At the Olympic Games of 1980, he was fifth and in the Games of 1984, he finished seventh.

His only World Cup success, he was able to celebrate in the season 1983/84 in Seefeld ( Austria ).
