Dancing Stars (Austria season 8)
The eighth season of Dancing with the Stars was sent on Fridays from March 1 to May 24, 2013 on one ORF. By sending Miriam led Weichselbraun and Klaus Eberhartinger. The theme of this year's season was " dance with us."
ORF entertainment chief Edgar Boehm stated on May 24, 2013, that you already planning on the ninth season, which will go on air in 2014. A total of about 4.27 million viewers have followed the eighth season.

Moderation and jury
Since the sixth season moderate Mirjam Weichselbraun in Ballroom and Klaus Eberhartinger backstage.
The four-member jury consisted of the dance school owner Thomas Schäfer - Elmayer, dance sport coach and international rating Judge Nicole Burns -Hansen, the international judges Hannes Nedbal and the professional dancers Balázs Ekker.

Changes
This season there have been some changes compared to the last few years:
12 items instead of 10
After determining in the previous seasons of the winners in ten broadcasts, there was this season twelve broadcasts. Therefore, in the two preliminary rounds different from any of the pairs. Nevertheless, the audience was able to call via televoting and the jury also awarded points that were counted for the third shipment.
It was not until the third mission, the jury and the audience points were added up and the couple with the fewest votes was eliminated altogether.
2 new dances
It had a total of 15 dances are learned, including two new ones - in the 10th mission of the discofox and in the 11th ( semi-final ) of the Jitterbug.
New Music
Overall titles were danced this season to 107, so 40 songs have been completely re- rehearsed, which were found in all dances.
No Easter break
This season there was not - as usual - an Easter break, but it continued without interruption. However, the Easter show was on a Saturday, and not broadcast on a Friday.
Final
Also in the finale, there were some changes. The dancers had to dance three dances following:
- The favorite dance of the couple
- The dance, which was evaluated by the jury and the worst
- The show - dance where the couple had free choice

1 Dance Week
In the first Dance Week only the prominent gentlemen were assessed, while the prominent ladies only had to show a Mambo dance as a group.
In this show, there was no deselection!
2 Dance Week
In the second week dance only the prominent ladies were evaluated, while the prominent men also had to show only a Mambo dance as a group.
Also in this show, there was no deselection!
3 Dance Week
Starting this week, all pairs now counted, a couple had to leave the show in this show. What was new was that six different dances are shown in one evening. This continued until the final.
Rudi & Babs did not dance in this show, because Roubinek suffered from a bout of flu. The couple was allowed to dance in the next program rules, according to the BBC yet again.
Catherine Good Son and Christoph Santner had to leave the first pair of the show.
4 Dance Week
The fourth mission took place on Saturday due to the Easter holidays.
Doris Schretzmayer and Gerhard Egger had to leave the show.
5 Dance Week
Rudi Roubinek and Babs Koitz -Baumann had to leave the show.
6 Dance Week
In this show, Gerald Pichowetz and Roswitha Wieland dropped out.
7 Dance Week
In the 7th Dance Week Salzer Monika and Florian Gschaider were voted out by the audience.
8th Dance Week
This week, Klaus Eberhartinger hosted the show alone, Miriam Weichselbraun was simultaneously engaged for the German Film Award in the ZDF. It was also an American Smooth shown in this show as a group dance.
As Showact the ensemble from the musical Legally Blonde occurred.
Gregor shine and Lenka Pohoralek had to leave in the 8th week of the show dance.
9 Dance Week
In this show, a Charleston was shown as a group dance. In addition, Natália Kelly joined with her song Shine on as a show act with which they went to Austria for the start of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö.
Biko Botowamungu and Mary Jahn had to leave the show.
10th Dance Week
Starting this week, each couple must learn two individual dances. Furthermore, each pair had to be a discofox for the best, which no season has ever danced before.
Susanna Hirschler and Vadim Garbuzov had to leave the show. In addition, Miriam Weichselbraun was at the end of the program known to be pregnant.
11th Dance Week
In the semifinals, each pair also had to dance two individual dances, including a jitterbug, which was still danced in any season.
In the semifinals Angelica Ahrens and Thomas Kraml had to leave the show and thus finished fourth.
Final
In the final, the finalists danced their favorite dance, the dance with the worst jury vote and a show dance.
Lukas Perman and Kathrin Menzingerstraße could not convince the audience after the first two dances and finished third, Marjan Shaki and Willi Gabalier finished second and Rainer Schoenfelder and Manuela Stoeckl won the title.
Perman and Menzingerstraße showed their show dance out of competition in the latter part of the shipment.
On average 804,000 viewers interested for the presentation of the first two dances, the first decision saw an average of 983,000, and the ultimate Voting saw 997,000 viewers (40 percent market share).
