De Gasperi VII Cabinet

The Cabinet De Gasperi VII ruled Italy of 26 July 1951 to 15 July 1953. Previously ruled the Cabinet De Gasperi VI, shortly thereafter the Cabinet De Gasperi VIII The government of Prime Minister Alcide De Gasperi was in Parliament by the Christian Democrats (DC worn) and the Republican Party (PRI ). It was the last Cabinet of the first legislature of the Republic. After the elections of June 1953 and the constitution of the second Republican Parliament 7 the cabinet, which was the middle of July back dutifully. For the elections, the Christian Democrats, in turn, clearly the strongest political force out, but they missed the absolute majority. De Gasperi was again commissioned to form a government, but his eighth cabinet did not get the confidence of Parliament.

Prime Minister De Gasperi was from late 1945 until mid- 1953 at the office. During this time Italy joined the Allies early 1947 peace, after which the occupation forces withdrew. It was in 1949 accepted as a founding member of NATO, which De Gasperi, cover, into the European Community of Western States. De Gasperi applies with Konrad Adenauer, Robert Schuman and Jean Monnet as one of the fathers of European integration.
