Eichberg- Trautenburg ( abbreviation Eichberg- Trtbg. ) Is a municipality with 774 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district or the district of Leibnitz in the Austrian province of Styria. From 1 January 2015, is the framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Leutschach, together shine on the wine route and Schlossberg, the new community will be called " Leutschach on the wine road ".

Geography

Eichberg- Trautenburg located in Styria in the south Styrian wine country.

History

A barrow cemetery of the Roman Empire in the " Fakitsch " forest, which consisted of eight grave hills and seven tumuli, suggests that at this time parts of Eichberg were already settled.

The name Eichberg was the first time I called 1295 Duke Albrecht as Aichperg in the land register. In old deeds and documents (In the area is also a fief of the Counts of Celje and the monastery of St. Paul were in the Lavant Valley ) appear again and again Slavic name. So a Suppan ( Slavic name of a village elder ) was called 1521. Name as Jauschnegg ( slaw for, southern wind ') or vigor ( for slaw, Oak ') testify to a Slavic settlement.

Since consisted in the municipality no manorial domain and Eichberg was incorporated into the parish Leutschach, there is no historical buildings and monuments in Eichberg. Culture and sights

Wine trail

In 1990, a wine trail was built, which documents the history of viticulture world based on presentation boards. Along a one kilometer long hiking trail, you can also all varieties that are cultivated in Styria, see and taste.
