Euboea (regional unit)

Evia is one of the five regional districts of the Greek region of central Greece with the capital Chalkida. From 1833 to the administrative reform of 2010, he had the status of a prefecture, whose functions were transferred to the region and the strongly reduced by merging municipalities.
