The Feistritzsattel is a 1298 m above sea level. A. high-altitude mountain pass that connects the Lower Austrian hunchback world with Styria. The saddle lies between the mountains change ( 1,743 m ) and the Stuhleck ( 1,784 m).

The road over the Feistritzsattel was mainly used to Semmering next to one of the main traffic route from Lower Austria to Styria. Notably, are "missing" in the elevation of the road board 12 meters.

Until 1958 the Feistritzwerke Forest Railway of Steinhaus am Semmering led by Rettenegg along the ridge from Fröschnitzsattel coming over the Feistritzsattel where they intersected with the road and there was the fifth station. Today introduces adventure forest along the old route and the Federal land border from Feistritzsattel to the east.

The Feistritzsattel is the starting point for numerous hiking opportunities in the change area and at nearby points Sonnwendstein and its adjacent surveys. In winter, the Feistritzsattel starting point of many trails for cross-country skiers.
