Fondo

Fondo ( German pounds ) is a village in the upper Val di Non (Italian Val di Non ) in the north of the autonomous province of Trentino with 1422 inhabitants ( as at 31 December 2012). The area of ​​the municipality covers 30 km ².

With Südtirol ( Autonomous Province of Bolzano ) Fondo is connected to the east by the road over the Mendel Pass (1363 m slm ), or via the Passo Palade ( 1518 m slm ) with Merano in the north.
