For Those About to Rock ( We Salute You) (English for " to rock the Jenigen that are on the verge ( We salute you ) " ) is the seventh studio album by the internationally published Australian hard rock band AC / DC. It was released in 1981 and was the third and final collaboration with producer Robert John Lange.
Musical Style
AC / DC pursued on this album continues the line of simple hard rock, with whom she had become so famous a year earlier. This style consists of simple, harsh chords of the rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, the famous guitar solos of his brother, Angus, and not least the screeching, become characteristic for the group singing Brian Johnson.
Tour
For the album, the band embarked on the For Those About to Rock Tour, which in 1981 and 1982 took place over the years. The approximately year-long tour began AC / DC on November 11, 1981 initially with numerous concerts in the U.S. and Canada, which continued in two sections until February 25, 1982 after which the band continued their tour with five Japan concerts.

Reception
With this album the band long since failed to match the success of the now legendary predecessors album Back in Black, but landed the plate for the first time at # 1 in the U.S. album charts. There has been awarded so far sold for over 4 million copies with quadruple - platinum. In the other countries, however, the drive failed as its predecessor reach the top position, but placed himself for always among the top 10 in Germany it reached No. 2 and has been listed for several months in the top ten. There followed a platinum award.
