Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson ( born October 5, 1947 in Dunston, Newcastle) since 1980 singer of the Australian hard rock band AC / DC.

Career

Brian Johnson had in the early 1970s with some Geordie performances as the opening act of the band Fraternity, where he met Bon Scott, the lead singer of AC / DC. This later spoke at AC / DC often of Johnson. This is followed by the remaining band members recalled after Scott's death, and so Brian Johnson stepped to the microphone in place of Bon Scott. He himself was in 1978 became aware of the band by a TV show called "Rock Goes to College "; he said in an interview in the documentary " AC / DC - Behind The Music". He was " thrilled " by the style of the band, especially of Bon Scott and Angus Young was ( original: "I was hooked "). Johnson's trademark has always been a flat cap, given to him by his brother, so that his hair was not stuck in his earlier work in a car factory. He contributes almost every gig.

Since April 3, 1980 Brian Johnson is officially singer of AC / DC; the first live appearance with the band he had on 29 June 1980 in Namur (Belgium ).

End of 2007, Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams recorded three songs ( Chain Gang, Chase the Tail and The Who phoned the Law ) on to the film Totally Baked, which appeared only on DVD.

2013 took Brian Johnson have in common with Sting two songs for his new album "The Last Ship" on.
