Let There Be Rock (English for "Let there be Rock" ) is the fourth Australian and third international studio album by Australian hard rock band AC / DC. The Australian version was released in March 1977 on the label Albert Productions. The publication of the international album took place on June 23 of the year on Atlantic Records.

Background

As with the previous album, the title lists of Australian and international version of Let There Be Rock are slightly different. For the international version of the piece was Crabsody in Blue replaced by a shortened version of the song Problem Child, which had already been included on Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. At the European LP version Crabsody was included in Blue even more, from the first CD version but it fell away and only appeared in Australia on CD until 2009 was finally represented at Backtracks.

The sound of the album is dominated by the typical AC / DC Hard Rock, showing the clear influence of blues and rock 'n ' roll. Let There Be Rock is the last album with bassist Mark Evans.

In 1980, a concert film entitled Let There Be Rock Bon Scott's death was shortly after: The Movie published. This recording, however, was not recorded during the tour for this album, but to Highway to Hell.
