The community Hainersdorf with 640 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) located in the judicial district Fürstenfeld or political district of Hartberg in Styria Fürstenfeld. From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the community Großwilfersdorf, the new community will be named " Großwilfersdorf " to continue.

The municipality is located in Southeast Hainersdorf Styrian hill country.

The municipality comprises the three villages (in brackets population as of 31 October 2011):

- Obgrün (126)
- Rieger village (223 )
The municipality comprises the cadastral Hainersdorf, Obgrün and Rieger village.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1142 when Henry Village. He was then known as Nordenesteth / Nordenstätt. Nearly four centuries, the village belonged to the Augustinian Canons Seckau, which it had been donated by Adalram of Waldegg, a descendant of Count Palatine Aribo II.
The communities Obgrün and Rieger village were incorporated to Hainersdorf 1969. Now the community Hainersdorf decided in 2015 for a merger with the community Großwilfersdorf.

The ceremony took place on November 1, 1988, the coat of arms description ( blazon ) is: " In red sprinkled with golden tobacco flowers a sign projecting to the rim in the upper left half of the shield golden cartwheel. "
