Dienersdorf

Dienersdorf is a municipality with 784 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district Fürstenfeld and in the political district of Hartberg - Fürstenfeld in Styria ( Austria ). From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Kaindorf and Hofkirchen bei Hartberg, the new community will be called " Kaindorf ".

Geography

Geographical Location

Dienersdorf located in the hills of Eastern Styria about eight kilometers southwest of the district capital of Hartberg and about 35 km northeast of the provincial capital of Graz. The municipality is located on the southeastern edge of the Natural Park Pöllauer valley, but is not even in it. Through the community's Pöllauer Untersafen flows.

History

Dienersdorf is a scattered village, which was probably founded during the time of colonization and for the first time in 1396 first mentioned as Diennestorf. In the following year, the village is also known as Dyenerstorf (1419), Dyeneßdorff (1504 ), called Dienestorff ( 1542) and Dienerstorff ( 1572).

The municipality was part of the clearing area of ​​Konrad von Untersafen. As the founder of the village, his son Dietbrant is assumed according to the location name. After the extinction of the safener end of the 12th century Dienersdorf came to Stubenberger and finally in 1396 to Hans von Stubenberg. He sold in 1459 to Heinrich von Neuberg. Regional Policy

The municipality is part of the LEADER region Oststeirisches heartland, and since 2007 has been part of the ecoregion Kaindorf.

On 20 November 2011, the voters of the municipalities Dienersdorf, Ebersdorf, Großhart, Hartl, Hofkirchen voted in Hartberg, Kaindorf and Tiefenbach bei Kaindorf as to whether, these seven churches are to be merged at the community structure reform from 2010 to 2015 to a large community. With a turnout of 65.66 % total of 3351 valid votes were counted. Of these, only 436 voters spoke (13% ) for a merger of the municipalities, while 2915 voters (87% ) voted against a merger. This clearly rejected the plans of the Styrian Provincial Government was granted.

A concept from 2012/13 provides for the merger of Dienersdorf, Hofkirchen and Kaindorf to a community of about 2,000 inhabitants.
