Hartl

Hartl is a municipality with 826 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district Fürstenfeld and in the political district of Hartberg - Fürstenfeld in Styria ( Austria ). From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Großhart and Tiefenbach bei Kaindorf, the new community will be called " Großhart ".

Geography

Geographical location

Hartl is located in the hills of Eastern Styria about 12 km south of the district capital Hartberg and about 35 km east of the provincial capital of Graz. The municipality is crossed by Nörningbach in the homonymous valley, which opens at Sebersdorf in the Pöllauer Untersafen and dehydrated with its tributaries the municipality.

The council consists of nine members and is since the municipal elections 2010 mandates only one party together:

Mayor since December 22, 1986 Hermann Grassl (ÖVP ). He was at the time of the election, with 26 years the youngest mayor in Austria. Vice Mayor Hans -Peter Spindler ( ÖVP). The last municipal elections brought the following results:

Coat of arms

Blazon (Coat of Arms description): " In a green silvery against constantly besteckter with needled pine cone double rod inboard. " The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 September 1989.

Regional Policy

The municipality is part of the LEADER region Oststeirisches heartland, and since 2007 has been part of the ecoregion Kaindorf.

On 20 November 2011, the voters of the municipalities Dienersdorf, Ebersdorf, Großhart, Hartl, Hofkirchen voted in Hartberg, Kaindorf and Tiefenbach bei Kaindorf as to whether, these seven churches are to be merged at the community structure reform 2010-2015 to a large community. With a turnout of 65.66 % total of 3351 valid votes were counted. Of these, only 436 voters spoke (13% ) for a merger of the municipalities, while 2915 voters (87% ) voted against a merger. This clearly rejected the plans of the Styrian Provincial Government was granted.

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

Hartl is off the main roads. The South A 2 motorway from Vienna to Graz is about eight miles away and over the exit Sebersdorf / Badwaltersdorf (126 ) to reach. On the northern edge of the municipality change road runs B 54 from Hartberg to track village. It is about seven kilometers from the center of the community.

Hartl has no rail connection. The nearest railway station is located about eight kilometers away in Bad Walter village and provides access to its thermal lift with two hourly regional train connections to Vienna and Fehring.

Graz Airport is about 45 km away.

Culture and sights

The Angels Chapel

The Angels Chapel in Hartl was built in the years 2004 and 2005 and consecrated on 9 October 2005. The chapel, which is vaguely reminiscent in its architecture to the Sanctuary of Notre -Dame- du- Haut de Ronchamp by Le Corbusier in France, quickly became the spiritual center of the community.
