Henry I, Prince of Anhalt (* 1170, † 1252) was a reigning sovereign anhaltischer of the family of Ascanians.

Life

After the death of his father, Duke Bernhard III. in 1212 the country was, as in the Ascanians usual, divided between the two sons of the deceased: Henry took over the government in Anhalt and Albrecht took over the Saxon area.
