Uebeschisee

Courts ( official name ) was up on December 31, 2013 a municipality in the administrative district of Thun in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. On 1 January 2014 merged with courts of the former municipalities of Lower and Upper Stocken Stocken Stocken for new community - yards.

Geography

This place is situated at an altitude in the hills between the Stockental one hand and the Amsoldinger and Uebeschisee other hand, south-west of Thun. Besides the Uebeschisee from which most of them with an area of ​​10 ha, despite its name to courts heard - and not to the neighboring community Uebeschi - there is no water in the municipal area, the north-eastern municipal boundary runs along the banks of Amsoldingersees which, however, entirely on the territory of the municipality lies Amsoldingen. In the southeast of the village there is the Beisseren a large wooded area. Previously, the community had no main settlement, but in recent decades has become such established between the hamlets Kistleren, Schindleren and Speckhubel. In courts there are also numerous other groups of houses and farmsteads. Of the total area of 462 ha community 74.8 % is used for agriculture. Woods and forests cover 15.6% and settlement areas 4.6 % of its territory.

Courtyards bordered to the south on 31 December 2013 at Oberstocken and Reutigen, to the east by Zwiesel mountain, on the northeast by Amsoldingen, on the northwest by Uebeschi and to the west by Pohlern.

Population

Beginning of 2005, the municipality had 399 inhabitants.

Languages

The people speak in everyday life, a high Alemannic dialect, which belongs to the German dialects of Bern. At the last census in 2000 gave 98.74 % German and 0.25 % French and Romansh as their main language.

Religions - faiths

In earlier times, the entire population was a member of the Evangelical Reformed Church.

Origin - Nationality

Beginning of 2005 were 396 residents ( = 99.25 %), Swiss nationals and three persons immigrants from other countries.

The voting shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 49.8 %, BDP 12.9 %, GPS 10.4 %, SP 8.4 %, EDU 4.9 %, glp 4.6 %, FDP 2.7 %, EPP 1.6 %, Alps Parliament 1.2 %, CVP 1.2 %.

Economy

The working population in the village still lives mainly from agriculture. But the majority of the working Höfener are commuters (especially after Thun).

Traffic

The village center is connected by bus line 3 of the STI Thun- yards - Blumenstein to the network of public transport. The northwestern and southeastern parts of municipalities, however, are not accessible by public transport.

The developed through the community bus parts are on the road from Amsoldingen to Upper halt. All other districts are accessible only on minor roads. The nearest motorway junction is tuna -south on the A6.
