Jimramov

Jimramov ( German Ingrowitz, older and Inger joke ) is a town with 1,281 inhabitants at the confluence of the Svratka and Fryšavka on the border between Bohemia and Moravia in the Highlands Region. The town is located away from main traffic routes.

History

Was founded in the town in the 13th century by Jimram of Pernštejna. The first written mention it was in 1361 by the construction of the castle Skály by Artleb of Starchowycz. The Pernštein family were during their reign granted some privileges, which were confirmed in 1537 by the Emperor Ferdinand I.. The place has protected its ancient appearance until today. 1778 sold Marie Antonia of Waldorf dominion to the Moravian Gender Italian descent Belcredi who until 1948 lived at her castle, which was handed over to them in 1991. The houses around the market form a listed ensemble. Since 2006 Jimramov is a Městys.
