Jovençan

Jovençan is a small Italian village with 758 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley.

Jovençan lies at an altitude of 632 m on the right side of the Dora Baltea. In the vicinity of the place of fruit is cultivated. The municipality consists of the villages Bren, Champailler, La PREMU, Turc, Verméneusaz, Pré Cognein, Turlin, Rollandin Mont- Corve, plot de la Corne, Montrosset, Pendine, Gros Beylan, Les Adam ( chef-lieu ), yobel, Turille, Pompiod, Pingaz, Grandad lingerie, La Plante, Le Clou, Pessolin, Étral, Rotin and Chandiou.

The castle dates from the 13th century.

The neighboring municipalities are Aymavilles, Gressan and Sarre.

During the Fascist period, the village was the Italianate name Giovenzano.
