Kari (also Saturn XLV) is one of the smaller outer moons of the planet Saturn.

Discovery

The discovery of S/2006 S 2 by Scott S. Sheppard, David C. Jewitt Jan and Brian G. Marsden on Kleyna recordings from January 4, it was announced on 26 June 2006 to 30 April 2006. Kari initially received the provisional designation S/2006 S 2 In April 2007, the moon was then Kari, the ruler of the winds, a son of the frost giants Fornjótr (also Fornjot ) and brother of Aegir (also Ægir or freezer) and logistics (also Loge ), named from Norse mythology.

Path data

Kari orbits Saturn at a retrograde eccentric orbit in about 1234 days. The orbital eccentricity is 0.48, the track being inclined at 156 ° to the ecliptic of the Saturn represents the Laplace plane at this distance.

Structure and physical data

Kari has a diameter of about 7 miles and rotates at about 7 ¾ hours once around its own axis.
