Fenrir (also Saturn XLI) is one of the smaller outer moons of the planet Saturn.

Discovery

The discovery of Fenrir by David C. Jewitt, Scott S. Sheppard Jan and Brian G. Marsden on Kleyna recordings of 13 December 2004 to 5 March 2005 announced on 3 May 2005. Fenrir first received the provisional designation S/2004 S 16 In April 2007, the moon was then after the Fenris Wolf, the father of the giant wolves Skalli (also Skoll ) and Hati and son of the god Loki, named from Norse mythology.

Fenrir orbiting Saturn retrograde in eccentric orbit around 1260.3 days. The orbital eccentricity is 0.136, the orbit is inclined with 164.9 ° to the ecliptic.

Fenrir has a diameter of about 4 km.
