Mneme ( Jupiter XL) is one of the smaller moons of the planet Jupiter.

Discovery

Mneme was discovered on February 6, 2003 by astronomers at the University of Hawaii. Mneme is named after the muse mneme.

Mneme orbits Jupiter at an average distance of 21,069,000 km in 620 days and 58 minutes. The track has an eccentricity of 0.2273. With an inclination of 148.6 ° to the local Laplace plane the web is retrograde, that is, the moon moves against the direction of rotation of Jupiter around the planet.
