Kenneth M. Curtis

Kenneth Merwin Curtis ( born February 8, 1931 in Curtis Corner, Leeds, Maine) is an American politician. He was 1967-1975 Governor of the State of Maine.

Early years

Kenneth Curtis graduated in 1952, the Maine Maritime Academy and in 1959 the Portland University, where he studied law. During the Korean War he was a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy.

Political career

Curtis is a member of the Democratic Party. From 1965 to 1966 he was Secretary of State in the Government of Maine.
