Koglhof is a municipality with 1105 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria, in the upper Feistritztal in the district of Weiz. It is located in the holiday region Almenland Summeralp - Teichalp.

The administrative headquarters is the place Koglhof, where the parish church is located. The municipality comprises the four cadastral Aschau, Rabendorf, Rossegg and Sallegg.

Culture and sights

Worth seeing is the historical center of Koglhof with the parish church. Other attractions include the castle Fronsberg, which is privately owned and affiliated church of St. Georgen, which was built in the 12th century.

In Koglhof there with the stations Koglhof and Rosseg two stops of Feistritztalbahn, but keeps in this section only as a museum railway operated railway line planned only in the station Koglhof where the historic station building has been converted into a guest house.

In addition, located in a newly built Koglhof in recent years, summer toboggan run. With a special joint ticket a ride can be linked to the Feistritztalbahn with the summer toboggan run.

Also, the municipality of Koglhof find some hiking trails that lead to, among other things Königskogel or in the Raven's Wood.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 January 1968. Coat Description: golden plate over silver, flooded a green sign foot three mountain on which a stone -colored gequaderte castle with four black windows rises, the red roof is topped by a roof turret with red onion dome.

In the coat of arms of the municipality of the three highest peaks Lindkogel, Königskogel and Rabenwald, the river and the Feistritzwerke Fronsberg castle are shown.
