Kyle Turris

Kyle Turris ( born August 14, 1989 in New Westminster, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who is since December 2011 the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Kyle Turris played since 2005 in the second-rate Canadian Junior Football League British Columbia Hockey League in Burnaby Express, having previously spent one season in junior leagues unterklassigen at the North Shore Winter Club and the Grandview Steelers. In his first BCHL season he proved his talent and was the third best scorer of his team in the regular season. He won with his team to the playoffs the BCHL and qualified for the finals series to the Doyle Cup, which they won also. Finally, they also won the tournament for the Royal Bank Cup Canadian Junior Championship and thus the second-rate junior leagues.

In the 2006/07 season he was with 121 points the second best scorer of the BCHL and led the scorers list of the playoffs, even though his team was eliminated in the second round.

Because of his achievements, he has been advised of the talent scouts of the National Hockey League in first place in the ranking of the most talented players for the NHL Entry Draft in 2007 and was finally selected in the Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes in the first round at position three. In August and September he took part in the Super Series 2007.

From autumn 2007, Kyle Turris played for the Wisconsin Badgers, the ice hockey team of the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and was in the same season the best scorer of the team with eleven goals and 24 templates. After the end of the season he signed in early April 2008 an entry contract with the Phoenix Coyotes and spent the last three league games of the season with the team.

17 December 2011 it transferred the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for David Rundblad and a second-round election to Ottawa Senators.
