Lavičky

Lavičky ( German Lawitschek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers north-west of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Lavičky located in Krischanauer Bergland ( Křižanovská Highlands ) in the south of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. The village is located on the left side above the valley of the brook Lavičský creek on the southwest slope of the Čihadlo ( 544 m). To the west rises the Kopec (534 m). To the north lies the pond Závistský rybnik and northeast of the dam Mostiště. South of the town is located on the D1/E50/E65 take Exit 141 Velké Meziříčí -západ.

Neighboring towns are Závist in the north, Olší ​​nad Oslavou and Vídeň in the northeast, Mostiště in the east, and Loupežník Velké Meziříčí in the southeast, and Hrbov Svařenov the southwest, Stránecká Zhoř and Kochánov in the west and Netín in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village belonging to the reign Meziříčí Lahwiczky took place in 1377, when John II the Younger Meziříčí of the place along with other villages to his cousin John III. d.Ä of Meziříčí gave. The Moravian Governor overwrote the income from Lavičky his second wife Apollonia of Ctěnice.

At the beginning of the 17th century the town was destroyed by Swedish troops to a large extent. In the castle law book in 1612 were as burned by the 21 property 13 and listed desolate. 1623 and 1648 were again the Swedes. 1790 lived 234 people in 37 houses. The first school was established in 1790.
