Mae Poen District

Amphoe Mae Poen ( Thai: อำเภอ แม่ เปิ น ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the western part of Nakhon Sawan. The Nakhon Sawan Province is located in the southern part of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Mae Wong and the Chum Ta Bong of Nakhon Sawan, Amphoe Lan Sak and the Ban Rai of Uthai Thani province and Umphang Tak Province.

History

The district of Mae Poen was on 15 July 1996, first as sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by Tambon Mae Poen Amphoe Lat Yao was separated from.

With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007 Mae Poen officially received the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Mae Poen has only one commune ( tambon), which in turn in 24 village communities ( Muban ) is divided.

There is also an administrative organization ( " Tambon Administrative Organization" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
