Mario Beccia

Mario Beccia ( born August 16, 1955 in Troia, Italy ) is an Italian former professional cyclist.

Beccia started his professional career in 1977 with the Italian team Sanson. He celebrated his biggest success in 1980 when he won the Tour de Suisse with a lead of 2:12 minutes on the Swiss Josef Fuchs itself. In 1988, he ended his career and worked first as athletic director at smaller Italian teams before that he was responsible for the promotion of professional cyclists the apparel manufacturer Northwave. From 2006 to 2008 Beccia was sports director at Team Volksbank Vorarlberg.
