Montoggio
Montoggio ( Montêuggio Ligurian ) is a municipality in the province of Genoa with 2044 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Geography
The municipality is located in the valley Scrivia near the streams and Wassily Pentema from which emerges in the course of the river Scrivia. The distance to the Ligurian capital Genoa is about 26 kilometers.
Montoggio belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Valle Scrivia.
According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity Montoggio Zone 4 has been assigned. This means that the municipality is in a seismically inert zone.
Community partnerships
Montoggio maintains since 2006 a partnership with the Czech community Radomyšl.
