Morgan County (Utah)
Morgan County is a county located in the state of Utah in the United States. 2010 Morgan County had 9,469 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Morgan, which is also the largest city in the county.
Geography
The Morgan County has an area of 1582 square kilometers, of which four square kilometers of water. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Weber County, Richmond County, Summit County, Salt Lake County and Davis County.
History
Morgan County was established in 1862. It was named after Jededia Morgan Grant, father of Heber J. Grant, who presided as head of the Mormon Church.

According to the census of 2000, there were 7,129 people in Morgan County. There were 2,046 households and 1,782 families. The population density was 5 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 98.11 % White, 0.04 % African American, 0.18 % Native American, 0.15 % Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander residents from the and 0.45 % from other races groups; 1.07% were descended from two or more races. 1.44 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 2,046 households out of which 49.70 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 79.60 % were married couples living together, 5.60% had a female householder with no husband. 12.90% were non-families. 11.70 % of all households and 5.80% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 3.48 and the average family size was 3.81 persons.
Based on the county the population was spread out with 37.10 % under the age of 18, 9.70 % from 18 to 24, 24.30 % from 25 to 44 years, 20.20% between 45 and 64 years and 8.70 % were 65 years old or older. The average age was 28 years. For every 100 females there were 102.90 males to 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.70 males.
The median income for a household was $ 50,273, and the median income for a family was $ 53,365. Males have a median income of $ 42,350, women $ 23,036. The per capita income was $ 17,684. 5.20% of the population and 3.70 % of families are below the poverty line. 5.70 % of those under age 18 and 6.90% were 65 years or older.
