Neuhausen auf den Fildern

Filderstadt is a municipality in the district of Esslingen in Baden- Württemberg. It belongs to the metropolitan region of Stuttgart. The traditional Swabian place name is Nuihausa. In the vernacular of the neighboring communities, it was often called Catholic Nuihausa, in contrast to about 15 km south-west to Häfner - Nuihausa ( New house, now part of the municipality Aichtal ).

Geographical location

Neuhausen is located 15 kilometers southeast of the city of Stuttgart on the Filderebene.

History

The first mention of Neuhausen dates from 1153rd The place then under the local nobles, lords of Neuhausen. In the 14th century it came under Habsburg rule and western Austria has been assigned.
