Nové Veselí

Nove Veseli ( German New Wessely, also Neuwessely, Neuwesseln ) is a market town in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers southwest of Zdar nad Sázavou and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Nove Veseli is on the upper reaches of the Oslava in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands on the edge of the nature reserve PLA Zdarske Hills. The town lies on the banks of the Veselský rybnik ( Wesseller pond ), northwest is the Matějovský rybnik another big pond.

Neighboring towns are Budeč and Radonín in the north, and Vatin Sazomín in the east, Březí nad Oslavou and Kotlasy to the southeast, and Pokojov Bohdalov in the south, Újezd ​​in the southwest and Matějov and Česká Mez in the northwest.

History
