Only A Northern Song is a song by The Beatles, which was released on the LP Yellow Submarine 1969.
George Harrison wrote the song to comply with a contractual clause at the music publisher Northern Songs, which signed him as a composer. This song expresses sarcastically from his anger about it. George Martin and the other Beatles were not in favor ribbon for the LP Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club.
The track was recorded at Abbey Road Studios on 13 and 14 February and 20 April 1967. Harrison took over the lead vocals and the organ during the recordings, which were lined with numerous tape effects. Publish the title was revised again.
